Dennis Ableson, respected Prince George fisheries biologist, will lead an informal “fireside” talk about the importance of rivers and other water bodies in our environment. He will share his insights about a significant but forgotten river in north central BC, talk about local fish runs on the verge of extinction, and touch on the important environmental lessons he has learned from the region’s First Nations. This event will appeal to everyone who loves and respects the rivers and lakes of this region whether we are kayakers, canoeists, fisher folk or photographers.
Please come and share your insights about northern rivers and lakes with Dennis. This event is presented in partnership with The Exploration Place. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
