The Exploration Place Online

A global pandemic may have closed the physical doors at The Exploration Place but they have continued to engage with audiences of all ages online. The Exploration Place has been featured on Prince George’s own fan-based Facebook page Hell Yeah Prince George! These daily LIVE interactions have brought history to life and captivated those watching with live feedings with our Animal Ambassadors.

With CEO Tracy Calogheros behind the camera, Headkeeper Sabrina has been taking center stage, sharing her wide range of knowledge about the animal ambassadors in her charge in Critter Convos.  The What Does Chad Have? segments feature regional history with Assistant Curator Chad Hellenius who tours through the museum, and even into the collections vault on occasion.  These fun online interactions are filled with curious questions and answers in real time. Stay tuned as these videos are uploaded to the Exploration Place YouTube channel to be enjoyed at any time, and watch for other content there as well.

Engage online with cultural institutions – comment, like, and share online content, join virtual programs or lectures, purchase or renew memberships, make a donation, and advocate for these institutions.
