Be Creative at BMO KidzArt Dayz!
Two Rivers Gallery is thrilled to present the 30th annual BMO KidzArt Dayz! On July 5 & 6 over 12,000 people of all ages are expected to learn and create through art, music, and movement. BMO KidzArt Dayz is a special time of year for the Gallery, as it gives the community a space to engage with people of all generations and connect with one another through creative expression.
- CREATE! at more than 25 hands-on art activities available throughout Canada Games Plaza and inside Two Rivers Gallery
- EAT! at a variety of food vendors providing tasty treats throughout the event
- BE ENTERTAINED! onstage by Rup Loops, the Human Radio, who uses his body as a musical instrument, interactive storytelling with Michelle Hersey as Ta Daa Lady with her Nylon Zoo of costumes and inflatable sculptures, and singer, storyteller, and cultural facilitator Candice George who shares music and oral histories to show the importance of cultural expression and preserving traditional practices.
- JOIN IN! with visual artists Sebastian Nicholson and Cat Sivertsen to create collaborative art projects.
Carolyn Holmes, Executive Director of Two Rivers Gallery, explains, “BMO KidzArt Dayz is an annual highlight for Two Rivers Gallery and a flagship event for the region. We are proud to offer two free days full of activities and entertainment, aimed at engaging children and their families in creative celebration.”
BMO KidzArt Dayz includes participation from our friends at Northern Routes Destinations The Exploration Place, Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum, and Huble Homestead, and many more. BMO KidzArt Dayz Coordinator, Emilio Caputo is incredibly excited for this year’s BMO KidzArt Dayz. “The event is an opportunity for people of all ages to collaborate and learn as a community. Art to connect people, and for me, BMO KidzArt Dayz is a great chance to do that. Art is about exploring and celebrating creativity, and I think that’s why this event is so important for the community.”
